PRIORITY OF PRESERVING THE ETHNIC CULTURAL IDENTITY OF THE VIETNAMESE ASSOCIATION IN SAITAMA
In a letter about the establishment of the Vietnamese Association in Saitama province sent to Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Japan, Mr. Pham Dinh Thuong - Chairman of the Association The festival expressed the emotions, thoughts and aspirations of Vietnamese society in Saitama Province.
Accordingly, 03 urgent tasks that the Association believes Vietnamese people need to do to retain their national cultural identity are as follows:
1. Promoting widely the cultural beauty of Vietnamese people

We Vietnamese people need to firmly determine that "Each individual is an ambassador promoting the cultural beauty of our Vietnamese people", so that we can successfully integrate into Japanese society without being harmed. tan. For many reasons, studying abroad, working, reuniting with family... Vietnamese people leave their homeland to go to other countries, but they go to learn something new, to serve their country, not to learn and then lose it. national identity, "because if you lose your national identity, you lose yourself."
2. Promote the spirit of Vietnamese national pride

Vietnamese people should remember that all ethnic groups are equal. Therefore, viewing all ethnic groups as equal is a demonstration of modern, humane thinking. "Vietnam's heroic history is not inferior to any other nation in the world." During wartime, we have an indomitable spirit, "determining our lives for the Fatherland". In times of peace, our Vietnamese youth have a progressive, dynamic and creative spirit. The moral foundation and level of educational thinking of Vietnamese people are not inferior to their Japanese peers. Therefore, Vietnamese people must always be confident and brave to express their true abilities.
3. Promoting culture is the responsibility of each individual

Not only are they responsible for preserving national identity, Vietnamese people are also responsible for promoting Vietnamese culture to Japanese people in particular and international friends in general. To do this, Vietnamese people need to understand their national culture, including: national culture, history and customs.
Besides, Vietnamese people also need to understand that in front of Japanese people, when they show understanding of their country's history and culture, they not only fulfill the task of promoting the country's culture, but also assert themselves. make others respect you. Globalization is like a storm, always waiting to sweep away all identities, so we need to be aware that we are like small trees in the stormy sky, whose national cultural identity is the root. Since ancient times, roots have been recognized by Vietnamese people. If the roots are deeper, the tree is stronger. If the roots are shallow and few, of course they will be swept away by the storms of other cultures, and then it will be the same. Vietnamese people will lose themselves. Thus, losing national cultural identity means losing what helps Vietnamese people distinguish themselves from "the rest of the world".
In short, the task of preserving Vietnamese national identity is an important and urgent task that the Vietnamese Association in Saitama always puts at the top of its mission. The Association is proud of the activities and cultural and spiritual values it has carried out in recent times to spread the good traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people to friends in the land of cherry blossoms. in particular and international friends in general.
