CHAIRMAN OF THE ASSOCIATION OF VIETNAMESE PEOPLE IN SAITAMA PARTICIPATES IN WORKING WITH THE STATE COMMITTEE FOR VIETNAMESE PEOPLE ABROAD

On the afternoon of April 6, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairwoman of the State Committee for Vietnamese Overseas Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang had a working session with representatives of 10 Vietnamese Associations in Japan. Held at the headquarters of the Embassy of Vietnam and Japan. Attending the meeting was Mr. Pham Dinh Thuong - Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Saitama province.

Participating in the meeting, Mr. Pham Dinh Thuong - Representative of the Vietnamese Association in Saitama expressed his joy when welcoming Deputy Minister Le Thu Hang to visit and work in Japan. On behalf of the Association, Mr. Pham Dinh Thuong reported the results of the implementation work, evaluated the successes and limitations of implemented activities as well as proposed projects prepared for implementation in the near future.

The content of the report revolves around the issues: supporting the Vietnamese community to overcome difficulties, integrating into the host society, maintaining the Vietnamese language, teaching the mother tongue to Vietnamese children and national cultural identity. tribes, donate, and support local people affected by natural disasters.

In addition, the Associations also raised many specific recommendations to strengthen the teaching and learning of Vietnamese, connect with mass organizations in the country, and promote communication work with the goal of building community. united, strong, have a position in the host society and look towards the homeland and country.

After listening to reports from representatives of the Vietnamese Association in Japan, the Deputy Minister emphasized: With the relationship between the two countries at the best stage, the Vietnamese community in Japan has many things to offer. Convenient conditions to live, study and work in the local area. Therefore, the Vietnamese community in Japan is constantly growing, increasing rapidly in both quantity and quality, and its role and position in the host society is increasingly enhanced.

Summing up the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Thu Hang praised the contributions of Vietnamese associations in Japan to increase solidarity and build an increasingly strong and developed Vietnamese community in Japan.

The Deputy Minister acknowledged the community's recommendations on strengthening the organization of forums to connect the Vietnamese community around the world; organize online training classes on Vietnamese; coordinate with Japanese media agencies to report more on the good images of the Vietnamese community in Japan; Support providing information to community media channels, building an ecosystem of social networks about the community so that the community can connect better and spread information more widely.

Summing up the meeting, the Deputy Minister also recommended that Associations continue to participate and accompany activities organized by the Embassy and the State Committee for Vietnamese People Overseas and Domestically. contributing to building the country, being a cultural messenger, a friendship bridge, contributing to cultivating the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.
